Just a few days ago, Jon Jones did an interview with Russian media outlet, where he said that Chael Sonnen was the ‘worst trash talker’ and it looks like the former UFC Light heavyweight champion was poked a sleeping bear because after Jones’s comment, Chael Sonnen unleashed a series of tweets in Jones’ direction.
Jon Jones had fought Chael Sonnen before and has dealed with his antics of trash talking back at UFC 159, where he defeated Jones via TKO in the very first round.
“I think Chael Sonnen is the worst trash talker,” Jones said. “Just because a lot of the stuff he says is gibberish. Conor McGregor, when he talks trash, there’s a lot of truth behind what he’s saying. I think Khabib will be under more pressure. Just because he has a very dangerous fighter who usually backs up what he says. Whereas Chael Sonnen is known to talk trash and lose.”
It didn’t take long for Chael Sonnen to fire back a series of tweets:
