In the aftermath of his split decision defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury didn’t hold back. The undefeated Ukrainian had just become the first undisputed world champion this century, but Fury had a different perspective—one that stirred controversy and one not liked by many boxers and UFC stars.

As the judge’s decision was announced in Riyadh, Usyk proudly held the Ukrainian flag aloft, dedicating his historic win to the people of Ukraine. Fury, however, suggested that events in Ukraine might have influenced the outcome. He stated, “His country is at war, so people are siding with the country at war. Make no mistake, I won that fight in my opinion.”

Kamaru Usman Slams Tyson Fury

In a recent interview, UFC Champion Kamaru Usman criticized Tyson Fury for claiming that the Ukraine War had a part to play in the result of his bout against Usyk.

Kamaru Usman stated “For you to say he got a favoritism decision, I think that’s messed up as a competitor, as an artist I understand you are emotional but that’s not what we do you know so I don’t agree with that statement. You left the fight in the hand of the judges and they made you cry you still went home with that humongous bag though. He actually got paid more than the champion”

Fury’s comments didn’t sit well with fans. Social media erupted with criticism, calling his statement “classless” and “shameful.” Many fans and Combat artists have supported Kamaru Usman and appreciated him for speaking the truth.

While boxing fans eagerly await the rematch, the controversy surrounding Fury’s remarks adds another layer of drama to this already intense rivalry.

The clash between Usyk and Fury transcends the ring—it’s a battle of words, national pride, and personal stakes. As the rematch looms, the world watches, wondering if Fury can back up his claims or if Usyk will continue his reign as the undisputed heavyweight champion.
