CM Punk suffered the second loss of his MMA career last day at UFC 225. Punk lost out to Mike Jackson via a unanimous decision but had earned praise for the heart he showed. Going the distance with Jackson was a huge improvement compared to Punk’s MMA debut which saw him get finished by Mickey Gall.

After the fight, Punk went on to Twitter to release his statement and he wrote the following.
You win some, you lose some! I'm 1-1 this week and I'll take it! Thanks to my team, my family, my friends, and THE FANS! Wouldn't be here without any of you. Respect to @TheTruthJackson, thanks for the fight! You only live once, and… I'M ALIVE! pic.twitter.com/UPPGFpx4iS

Punk is now 0-2 in his career and his future in the UFC is still up in the air after the defeat. However, the 1-1 he referred to in his post indicates the significant victory he achieved when he was pronounced not guilty in the lawsuit that WWE doctor Chris Amann had put on him following a bare-all interview he gave on Colt Cabana’s podcast after his WWE release.
It would be interesting to see what Punk decides to do next as well. UFC president Dana White said that Punk was done with the UFC and also suggested that the former wrestler should completely move away from MMA.
