UFC: Colby Covington says his fight against Tyron Woodley will be bigger than Khabib Vs McGregor

Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington defeated former UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 225 in June to become the UFC interim welterweight champion, thus cementing a unification bout against the undisputed champ Tyron ‘The Chosen One’ Woodley who recently successfully defended his title against Darren Till by submitting him in the second round.

Colby Covington has been eagerly waiting for his title shot and he believes his fight against Woodley would be bigger than the super fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor.

“Without a doubt it will be Covington vs. Woodley,” Covington said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on ESPN (transcript via MMA Mania). “The sides in the line that are going to be drawn, the anger, the story line, we have a serious history. Everybody knows that. There’s too much juiciness in that fight.”

“The Conor and Khabib fight, yeah that’s cool, but, Conor is just looking to get paid and Khabib, all he does is wrestle. They are little lightweights, that’s the JV (junior varsity) side. If you want to come up in weight come up to the varsity squad.”

Tyron Woodley has stated earlier that he wants to fight Colby Covington at UFC 230 in Madison Square Garden on November 3.
