Just like some of his fights, Conor Mcgregor’s court appearance didn’t last too long either. On Thursday, Mcgregor accompanied by his associate Cian Cowley, and their legal team, appeared in New York City court to address the charges stemming from his attack at a bus carrying fighters who were scheduled to fight at UFC 223, eventually resulting in several fighters getting injured and subsequently being off the card.

In the brief court appearance, Mcgregor and company informed the court that they were willing to negotiate a plea. In the next scheduled hearing on 26th July, Conor is expected to enter the actual plea.

Following this, a member of Conor’s legal team read an official statement from him:

I regret my actions that led to today. I understand the seriousness of this matter and I’m hopeful this will get worked out. Thank you, everyone.

Replying to MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani, Mcgreggor’s manager Audie Attar would not discuss the details of his court case, but said that they are focusing on the current matter and not any future plans. He further hopes that his client’s legal issues would be resolved on 26th July.
