UFC 223 card has seen it all. From injuries, fighters missing weight to McGregor’s after media day brawl and fight cancellations due to it, UFC 223 is finally set to go. However, the drama continues as McGregor’s manager Audie Attar released a statement after the UFC 223 chaos and his client ‘the Notorious’ being arrested.

Attar tweeted, “So much rumor and misinformation about my client Conor McGregor. The matter is in the hands of law enforcement and I cannot really say more. Conor is a great fighter, a fiercely loyal friend and one of the best athletes in the world. He looks forward to getting back to fighting as soon as possible.” (via Twitter):

Two days ago after UFC 223 media day when fighters were leaving the arena, McGregor alongwith his 20 teammates sneaked into the arena, stormed into building and started to throw cans and dollies on the bus in search of rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. McGregor’s actions were inspired from Nurmagomedov’s altercation with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov. McGregor’s actions led to a cut on UFC Lightweight Michael Chiesa’s face and also an injury to Ray Borg, resulting in their fights being cancelled.

McGregor was then seen leaving the police station in handcuffs. McGregor had a hearing on Friday Afternoon at the King’s County Criminal Court in New York. The judges issued an order of protection in favor of Chiesa, Borg, Ozzy Arias and Ricardo Chico.

The judge then set a $50,000 bail on the Lightweight champ and a $25,000 bail on his friend Cian Cowely. McGregor and Cowley were freed shortly after. McGregor’s next hearing is set for June 14.
