Controversies and violation of doping policies have kept away former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones attain that ‘Greatest of all Time’ status. If it wasn’t that way, there would have been no brainer to the question that who is the real greatest of all time.

However Jones is still considered by many to be one of best fighters to step inside the octagon. For someone as young and ‘still growi a recong’ like Corey Anderson to feature in two records with Jones is appreciable.

Anderson and Jones are the only 2 UFC fighters that rank top-3 in their weight classes in both most significant strikes landed AND fewest significant strikes absorbed per minute.

Jones who has a gifted reach of 84 inches, which even heavyweights fail to possess. On top of that the heavy kicks he uses, he can maintain distance and land shots which justifies his spot in the rankings. However, keeping in mind that Jones has fought only 5 times in last 5 years, makes his spot even more respectable.

However, Anderson having a wrestling base, it’s impeccable of him having landed all those significant strikes. For someone who has the nicknames of ‘Overtime’ and ‘Beastin 25/8’, it’s evident the amount of work he puts in among with high calibre training partners like former champs Eddie Alvarez and Frankie Edgar and former WSOF champion Marlon Moraes.

Let’s see how many strikes he lands later on today when he fights a highly ranked veteran Glover Teixeira.
