Brock Lesnar is undoubtedly one of the biggest Stars UFC has ever seen. A former UFC Heavyweight Champion and WWE superstar bought a lot of eyeballs to the UFC and bought in huge PPV buys for the company and took huge purses himself. Everyone wants a piece of Lesnar which is very obvious as a fight with Lesnar guarantees huge purse.
From Daniel Cormier, Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones appear to be all in on the prospect of fighting Brock Lesnar. But, it looks like Curtis Blaydes has a pretty different take on fighting the former heavyweight champ and pro-wrestling star.
In an interview with BJPENN.com, Curtis said:
“I think Brock Lesnar is irrelevant. He hasn’t fought in years and even when he did fight he wasn’t a real fighter. He has zero hands. Literally zero striking. All he has is a half-assed jab and no I don’t want to fight Brock Lesnar. He isn’t worth anything and he gives me no chance to improve my ranking. Sure, the fans would like it but I’m not really worried about that. I’m more interested in improving my ranking, getting that belt, and getting my money.”
Blaydes (10-1, 1 NC) is coming off the biggest win of his career after trashing Alistair Overeem at UFC 225 just last month. After the win, Curtis eyes a title shot at the winner of Miocic vs Cormier if not, then he wants a second crack at only Francis Ngannou.
