“The Notorious” Conor McGregor after his multi-million boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr. had claimed that he will only fight in the UFC again if they make his part-owner. UFC President Dana White was quick to shoot down the idea that McGregor will be made a part owner of the UFC. Now that McGregor is all set to make his octagon return at UFC 229 against lightweight champion Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov, questions were raised about whether McGregor was given a stake in the UFC’s shares or not. However, the UFC President has denied the claims of McGregor being a part-owner.
In a recent interview given to MMA Nytt, White clearly stated that McGregor is not a part-owner, but claimed that he makes so much money that he might as well be a part-owner. Here’s what he said:
He’s not a part owner, he might as well be though. He’s making so much fucking money. He’s making so much fucking money he might as well be a part owner.
