Reportedly the UFC had exciting bigger plans for the former featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor until he got involved in the infamous UFC 223 bus attack.
The chaotic scene changed everything and McGregor will appear in Brooklyn Criminal Court on Thursday. With UFC missing his service, Dana White has plotted a meeting with McGregor a days later.
“He and I are meeting on the 18th of this month,” the UFC president today told TMZ.
This marks the third time that McGregor and White are scheduled to meet. They were supposed to meet about 3 weeks earlier at Fight Night 130 when UFC made it’s first visit to Liverpool. They were then supposed to meet in Las Vegas, however both the meetings didn’t seem to go as planned.
White isn’t sure what to expect.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen,” White said. “I don’t know what Conor has planned. I don’t know what Conor and his team have worked on. Whatever happens tomorrow, I will be as shocked as you.”
It’s been more than 18 months since McGregor has stepped inside the octagon. McGregor however was seen in a boxing fight against Floyd Mayweather in August 2017.
