Alexander Gustafsson has been pretty vocal on social media ever since it was announced that Daniel Cormier would fight Stipe Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight Championship of the world at UFC 226.
In his latest post, Gustafsson called out Luke Rockhold and offered to welcome him to the Light Heavyweight division after talks surfaced that the AKA Middleweight was looking to move up a weightclass following a brutal knockout at the hands of Yoel Romero.
Despite Rockhold making it public that he’s been training at Florida with coach Henri Hooft for the Yoel Romero fight, team AKA captain Daniel Cormier leapt to his defence against Gustafsson’s barb.
This was Gustafsson’s initial post:

Daniel Cormier then replied via Twitter, reminding Gustafsson that he himself only obtained a Title shot after getting knocked out by Rumble.
Nice timing Alexander(kick him while he’s down huh). I got a better idea tho he doesn’t fight you next. He fights Robert Whitaker, I mean sometimes that happens right. You lose your way into a title shot! #thegustafsonway
