UFC Light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and UFC Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will lock horns at UFC 226. The Heavyweight championship will be on the line at the pay-per-view which is set to take place on 7 July 2018 at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada.

While there are still two more months to go for the fight, the mind games have already begun. Last day, after the UFC Glendale weigh-ins, Daniel Cormier was interviewed by MMA Fighting and during the interview, Cormier talked about a string of topics including how Stefan Struve defeated Stipe Miocic.
For the uninitiated, Miocic lost to Stefan Struve via a second-round TKO back in 2012. This is one of the only two losses that the Heavyweight champion has suffered during his career. His second loss came against Junior Dos Santos via a unanimous decision in 2014.
During the interview, Cormier said that Struve could beat Miocic, why can’t he. You can see the complete interview below.
Will never fight Cain Velasquez
Cormier was also quizzed about the possibility of fighting Cain Velasquez in the future. The 39-year-old replied by saying that he will never fight Cain. He also went on to say that if he has to give up the Heavyweight title in order to avoid a fight with Cain, he will do just that.
DC also gave an update on his fight camp and told that he will start his pre-fight camp in two weeks.
Cormier is currently 20-1 in his career and is coming off a win against Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 220. He has only lost to Jon Jones in his career. Miocic, meanwhile, holds a professional record of 18-2 to his name. He is currently on a six-fight winning streak and dominated Francis Ngannou in his last fight at UFC 220, which was the same card on which Cormier defeated Volkan.
