Daniel Cormier made history last month when he knocked out Stipe Miocic in the very first round to become UFC heavyweight champion, and immediately followed Brock Lesnar to the Octagon and Dana White announced the huge possibility of the massive super fight between both of them.
However, with the super fight news between Cormier and Lesnar looming, what’s going to happen with UFC Light Heavyweight title? Well, it turns out Cormier isn’t giving it up without a fight.
Cormier was recently present at the Kelly & Ryan Show and he said:
“For me to go back down, it’s going to be difficult to defend this belt. but I plan on doing it. Honestly, I am a heavyweight, I weigh 245 pounds, normally. But then I cut down to 205 whenever I fight 205, so I lose 40 pounds to fight in that weight class.”
“I’m 39 years old, so for a long time, I thought about being remembered as one of the greats,” Cormier said. “And by doing this, I’m always gonna be remembered as my career ends.”
Who do you think is Cormier going to fight at 205 pounds?
