Up-and-coming UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till recently created a minor controversy after making comments that had insinuated that he does not care about his family. In arecent interview, Till addressed the controversy and stated that people want to be offended.
Till made an appearance on the latest edition of Obviously Fight Talk podcast. On the podcast he explained his previous remarks and explained how he has to be selfish before a fight. Here’s what he had to say:
It’s funny, I haven’t even really read what people are saying but my girlfriend is sitting next to me right now, laughing. It comes to sort of right to stuff like that when my girlfriend is laughing and it’s offending grown men and grown women. That’s just funny s**t. It doesn’t affect them.
I have to be selfish enough. And after the fight, everyone knows, downtime, holidays, going to see me daughter. It’s just people wanting to be offended.
