UFC: Darren Till was surprised by his size advantage over Tyron Woodley

The biggest fight in the welterweight division between Tyron Woodley and Darren Till is just a week away and there has been a lot of back and forth between both champion and the challenger.

Darren Till has often joked about his size in the past as to how big he is for 170 pounds and his size has led to him dominating over his previous contenders by the likes of Donald Cerrone and Stephen Thompson.

However, during UFC’s 25th-anniversary press conference, Till was a little surprised by his size advantage over Tyron Woodley when asked during UFC 228’s media day in Las Vegas.

A little bit, I think, as I’ve said a few times now, I just make myself look big; I puff my chest out, I put my arms up in the air, It was that stance that made me look bigger. I was, on that day, significantly bigger than Tyron.”

I just think, with his top off, Tyron is a big guy. His chest is buff, he’s got big arms and huge legs. In the Octagon there will be a slight difference, but not massively because he is a big dude.” Till said.

UFC 228 is scheduled to take place on September 8 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
