The fight between Darren Till and Stephen Wonderboy Thompson may come to fruition after all.
After a bit of finger pointing and blame mongering, the ultimate striker versus striker fight in the Welterweight division may materialise after all at UFC London, reveals Chris Taylor of BJPenn.com.
Darren Till has been vocal in calling out Wonderboy, only for Wonderboy to also initially signal his desire to see the fight made. However, reports emerged later on that Wonderboy’s team weren’t too keen on the fight.
Also, he was reported to be nursing a thumb injury after the Masvidal fight that needed time to heal.
However, if Chris Taylor is to be believed, Wonderboy is in a position now to accept the Darren Till fight to headline UFC Liverpool.

Darren Till last fought in November of 2017 when he shocked the world by finishing fellow showman and veteran Donald Cowboy Cerrone within one round.
Wonderboy’s last bout came in a one-sided unanimous decision victory over fellow Welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal a month prior to that.
Both fighter have been biding their time since, waiting for the perfect opponent that gets them back into Title contention. However, that may not be so straightforward for Wonderboy, having already had 2 cracks at Champion Tyron Woodley and coming up empty handed on both occasions.
For Darren Till, however, a victory over a highly rated and ranked opponent while headlining a hometown card may be the perfect platform to launch him into the title picture.
