UFC: Demetrious Johnson okay with T.J. Dillashaw vs. Henry Cejudo, says ‘it’s good for them’

Earlier this month at UFC 227, dominant former flyweight king Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson’s historic 11 fight title defense streak came to end.

The man however who beat him, Henry ‘The Messenger’ Cejudo, wasted no time in calling out the bantamweight champ which later on the same night happened to be T.J Dillashaw.

That however didn’t go well with the MMA community as many including commentator Joe Rogan believed Johnson with 11 title defenses, certainly deserves a trilogy before Cejudo can move on to bigger things. Mighty Mouse however has no problem with Cejudo moving up to fight Dillashaw.

“I think it’s good for them,” Johnson said on a recent edition of Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show. “If that’s what they want to do, let them do it, you know? I think I read somewhere TJ said when he was weight-cutting he hit 133, so if he wants to do it, have him do it. I don’t think there’s nothing wrong with it at all. Let them do what they wanna do, dawg. That’s them.”

“I’m not worried about because I know I’m gonna be successful wherever I’m at,” he continued. “Whether it’s me not getting a fair shake…at the end of the day, that’s something my management is gonna have to deal with because I don’t talk to the UFC brass because I can’t hold back my emotions, and I keep it real.”
