A couple of weeks ago at UFC 226, talented prospect Drakkar Klose defeated another talented prospect Lando ‘Groovy’ Vannata via unanimous decision.

Despite of dominating someone as talented as Vannata for all the three rounds and earning a 30-27 on all scorecards, Klose wasn’t completely satisfied with the victory.

“I would say a 7. There’s always more improvements in the game,” Klose told MMA Fighting. “If you’re not learning and evolving in MMA, you probably won’t be the champion, so I just take that, get back in the gym and get prepared for the next fight whenever that happens.”

Klose explained his corner men had decoded Vannata’s unorthodox high flying style and helped him to deal with it.

“What’s crazy is my brother was in the room the morning before the fight and we’re just going over the game plan and everything we were talking about came true,” said Klose. “I knew when I would kick him, he would throw something spinny, him throwing crazy stuff.

“After the fight [my brother] was like, ‘It’s crazy how you guys already knew everything he was gonna do before it even happened.’”
