The headliner showdown between Cub Swanson and Artem Lobov didn’t go as expected by many, but Cub managed to get that win via unanimous decision. It was not so easy to put away the Russian Hammer, as Artem proved that he could stand with the best featherweights. Cub did everything possible and unleased his entire arsenal but with a chin like that Artem was not willing to go down without putting a fight. Cub landed an overall of 209 significant strikes of 296 attempts while Lobov could land only 123 of 276 significant strikes. Swanson and Lobov both earned fight night bonus of $ 50,000 each. With four consecutive wins, Cub’s next outing could be a title shot against the winner of Aldo vs. Holloway. https://oddshot.tv/s/ovCK2E

The co-main event between Al Iaquinta and Diego Sanchez didn’t go well for the later as Al starched the veteran in round one with a devastating knockout. Despite a two-year layoff, Iaquinta showed no signs of ring rust and proved why he must be feared in the lightweight division for his heavy hands. With the win, Iaquinta is now on a five-fight win streak which should set him against any of the Top-14 lightweights above his ranking. https://oddshot.tv/s/3XUstq

OSP got his submission victory against Marcos Lima; making him the only fighter to earn two submission victories by Von Flue choke. OSP managed to break his three-fight losing skid with a win and 30% of the purse fighting a heavier Marcos Lima. https://oddshot.tv/s/tZDNIM

Despite the height, reach advantage and knockout power Eddie Wineland could not match up to the incredible speed of the magician John Dodson. Dodson did what he does best – utilize his speed to outclass his opponents in the striking numbers. Wineland managed to land only 21 of his 138 attempted significant strikes while Dodson required only 48 of 103 significant strikes to outpoint him. https://oddshot.tv/s/mBcZ-E

Joe Lauzon had Stevie Ray in trouble the entire first round, but began to fade away as the rounds progressed. The Scottish Stevie Ray was well prepared for the veteran Lauzon whose cardio came into the questioning right from the second round. Stevie capitalized on this and unleased some heavy hands putting Lauzon into survival mode. Despite having the takedowns and controlling the top position Lauzon could not put away Stevie who landed some shots from his back. In the third round, Joe looked out of place as Stevie continued to dish out combinations upon combinations to take the majority decision win. https://oddshot.tv/s/xO8YK2

Another devastating knockout of the night went to the heavy-handed Platinum Mike Perry who promised a KO victory over the battle tested Jake Ellenberger. A broken nose was of no concern for Perry as he managed to land a perfectly timed close-range elbow sending Jake on the canvas in round two. Jake was getting the better of Perry until the second round where he got a little sloppy and took his own time to land an elbow. With a win over the #13 ranked welterweight and a fight night bonus, Perry would soon see himself join the ranks in the Top-15 welterweights later this year. All of Perry’s ten wins have come via Knockout or Technical Knockout making him a notable knockout artist in the welterweight decision. https://oddshot.tv/s/W0XfhX
