A slow start to the co-main event eventually turned out to be an all out stand up battle for full fifteen minutes, until Johnson decided to take Lobov to the ground in the final moments of the third round. Johnson had to adjust his movement looking at the awkward fighting style of the Russian Hammer. Both the featherweights slugged it out and landed some heavy leather on each other. Lobov with his trademark hands down approach bruised the left side of Johnson, while he ate all the jabs & straights in the process. Johnson’s striking was good but not good enough to stand with the other featherweights in the division. He picked up his 20th win while the Russian Hammer succumbs to 15th loss. It looks dicy where Lobov heads from here.
