Fighting in a shot notice, Cifers kept a very simple game plan – to stand and trade with Barber. But it didn’t turn out well for her as Barber kept on pushing forward and landed strikes at will. Cifers showed how tough she was despite being cut with a nasty elbow on her forehead and taken to the ground which was followed by vicious ground and pound. It was a clear and dominant performance by Barber who has shocked everyone with her ground and pound – a rare sight in this women’s division.
