Luis Pena defeated Steven Peterson via Unanimous Decision
With Luis Pena missing weight and coming in beyond the featherweight limit, this bout was turned into a catchweight matchup which resulted into a back and forth fight. Peterson was clearly unhappy and displayed his emotions via his striking as he opened the first round aggressively and rushed towards Pena taking him down. Had Peterson’s armbar been on point, it would have been a short night for Pena, but he escaped with a slam. Pena than began outworking Peterson with his punches and bloodied his opponent. Pena had to deal with the same aggression in round two and three taking Pena down multiple times, but Pena made it back and with striking prowess was able to deal with Peterson’s aggression as he bloodied ‘Ocho’ with his crisp striking.
