Daniel Teymur defeated Sung Bin Jo via Unanimous Decision

With struggling to find victories in his first three UFC fights and on the verge of being potentially cut, the swede Teymur came out all guns blazing in the first round and gave it all against the undefeated Korean Sung Bin Jo. Teymur landed a big shot early on that stunned Jo and he instantly switched over to survival mode as he back tracked and bought some time to recover. Teymur continued his aggressive game plan and charged ahead looking to knock Jo out, but the long reach and height advantage, Jo stayed away from any major onslaught. For most of the fight, Jo hesitated to pull the trigger and was content with his wait & watch game plan which eventually costed him the fight. Teymur finally picked up a win and though it was not an impressive victory, he should be happy with his performance.

Christos Giagos defeated Damir Hadzovic via Unanimous Decision

It was a tough night for Hadzovic who struggled with Giagos’ speed and could barely match up to his wrestling right from the first round after securing a double-leg takedown. The Boznian Bomber trid to up the ante with his aggression and determination but Giagos was just too much for him. Giagos continued to stun Hazdovic with his slick striking and leg kicks which he coupled with his take downs. After being taken down round after round, Hazdovic’s frustration clouded his judgement as he kept charging ahead and eating up counter shots from Giagos. In the final moments of the third round, Hazdovic triumphed but it was not enough for him to convince the judges who were already in Giagos’ favour.

Makwan Amirkhani defeated Chris Fishgold via Submission in Round 2

Featherweights Amirkhani and Fishgold finally got to settle the score inside the octagon after their online back-and-forth tension leading up to the fight. But it lasted just two rounds, as Amirkhani was able to secure an Anaconda choke at 4:45 secs mark in the second round. Amirkhani was just way ahead with his skill set and overwhelmed Fishgold with his striking and grappling. But it was Fishgold’s error in their grappling exchange that caused him the fight.

Aleksandar Rakic defeated Jimi Manuwa via KO in Round 1

The co-main event between Aleksandar Rakic and Jimi Manuwa ended in a vicious knockout in just 42 seconds into the first round. Rakic was on a three fight win streak, with the last two wins coming by TKO while Manuwa had lost his last three fights wit two of those coming via TKO and we could foresee what was in store for this light heavyweight clash. After a short feel out process, Rakic unleashed a combo that got Manuwa expose his chin and BOOM! the leg kick landed right on the button dropping Manuwa out cold.

Anthony Smith defeated Alexander Gustafsson via Submission in Round 4

Anthony Smith just beat the odds stacked against him in the main event as he fought Gustafsson in his own home town and after being the underdog right from the day this fight was announced. Smith not only defeated Gustafsson but he also put a halt to the swede’s career as Gustafsson announced his retirement post fight. It not an easy start for Gustafsson who had to embrace the storm early on as he rallied back in the third round with sheer dominance. Gustafsson continued his aggression but a slight error caused him to give Smith an opening he needed to counter a takedown. With his back now secure, Smith locked Gustafsson into a rear-naked choke that forced Gustafsson to tap out.
