Vicente Luque and Mike Perry engaged in an absolutely bloody war for three rounds in the co-main event of the evening. But Luque had to dig deep and find a way to outwork Mike Perry who kept coming back despite eating some heavy blows. Both the welter weights exchanged heavy strikes over the three rounds with neither of them settling for anything less. A solid knee from Luque rocked Perry and smashing his nose in the process. Luque was being the more technical while Perry began throwing wild haymakers hoping to connect and drop Luque. Perry showcased remarkable patience in the fight, something we began witnessing from his previous fight. But being too relaxed caused him the fight as he resorted to a take down in the final round and got countered with a guillotine choke that saw pool of blood pouring from his face. Perry’s toughness was evident as he kept on fighting until he got out of the choke and secured the top position. But time ran out and Perry could not inflict any damage on Luque who did enough to stay just ahead in the judges scorecard.
