Volkan Oezdemir finally ended his three fight losing skid in a sensational KO win over Ilir Latifi. Both the light heavyweights wasted no time in laying hands on each other and exchanged some heavy strikes from the moment the fight kicked off. Ilir was clear with his strategy to take Volkan to the ground and he did by slamming Volkan to the mat from the clinch position. But it didn’t take Volkan much to get back to his feet and effectively mixed his offensive with punches, kicks and knees as the first round came to close. Volkan continued his offensive in the second round as continued to pressure the Swede and forced him to retreat. A huge stepping knee dropped Ilir to the ground, but the Sledgehammer got right back up displaying his toughness. Moments later Volkan scored another knockdown but this time followed up with a heavy left hook that ended the fight at 4:31 secs of second round.
