Short notice? no problem for Gilbert Burns
Gilbert Burns who was the late replacement as Gunnar’s opponent picked up the biggest win of his career. Both the welterweights are known for their ground game. But there were some moments wherein they displayed crisp boxing and kickboxing skills. Gunnar’s aggression was just not enough for him to secure a much needed win. While Burns made full use of his arsenal as he threw Gunnar using a judo throw, attempted multiple flying knees and take downs. Gunnar responded with his own set of take downs but was just not there to keep him down. With one round each to their name Gunnar & Burns laid it all out in the final round. A back and forth action only made it difficult to judge the final round up until Burns was able to shrug off a take down from Gunnar and pressed him to the cage . With this win, Burns is now on a four fight win streak inside the Octagon.
