Markus Perez stepped up against the local hometown favorite Wellington Turman in a middleweight clash that won the fan’s hearts. Turman was all fired up in the first round and in the process connected with some hard shots. With his persistence he even managed to land the takedown on his second attempt. From there on Perez changed his game plan and began an outpour of kicks that landed flush on Turman. Turman landed a solid jab that cut Perez open. In the final round, Turman caught Perez with a hard knee to the body which gassed him out towards the end of the round. Perez began to gas out and out of desperation he kept throwing wild shots but he fell short in the end.
