UFC Middleweight contender Darren Till‘s Octagon comeback has been put on hold once again as the English fighter has pulled out of his upcoming UFC Fight Night 208 clash against Jack Hermansson due to an injury.

The initial report about Till’s withdrawal from the July 23rd event was made by ESPN which states that the fighter has suffered an undisclosed injury, making him unavailable from the co-main event clash against Hermansson.

As it turns out, Chris Curtis has been filled in as a replacement for “The Gorilla”. While an official announcement from the UFC is due, the promotion’s website has already listed Curtis taking on Hermansson at the event.

A former CES MMA and Z Promotions champion, Curtis is 3-0 in the UFC and is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Rodolfo Vieira on the main card of UFC Vegas 57 on 25th June.

This is the second time the Till vs Hermansson fight had been called off. The two were earlier set to face off at UFC Vegas 16 in December 2020, but Till had pulled out citing an injury.

A former UFC UFC Welterweight title challenger, Till has won just one out of his last five outings in the Octagon. The 29-year-old Liverpudlian is currently on a two fight losing streak and in his last fight, was forced into submission by Derek Brunson in the main event of UFC Vegas 36 on 4th September last year.

The main event of UFC Fight Night 208, which takes place at the O2 Arena in London, will feature UFC Heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Tom Aspinall. The undercard also includes the rising superstar Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett, taking on Jordan Leavitt.
