UFC fighter Ion Cutelaba rips up his opponents’ photo during weigh-in ceremony

Ion-Cutelaba

Ion Cutelaba wasn’t even born when Sinead O’Connor ripped apart the picture of Pope John Paul II on Saturday Night Live iin 1992. However, that didn’t didn’t stop him from channeling his inner O’Connor at the UFC Fight Night 150 Weigh-ins.

Cutelaba moved up to the scale just like any other fighter would. However, just before he stepped up, Cutelaba grabbed a folded piece of a small poster. After he made the weight, Ion opened up the poster which was of his opponent Glover Teixeira.

Cutelaba teared up the picture in half before flexing infront of the audience.

The incident didn’t seem to bother Teixeira. The two exchanged a couple of words before stepping off of the stage.

Despite owning the best moment at the weigh in, Teixeira still came up short inside the Octagon. After a good start, Ion wasn’t able to handle the experience of the Brazilian and lost via a rear naked choke.
