Weighing in on a potential MMA fight for Floyd Mayweather against Conor McGregor, Floyd’s camp seems to have set their sights on an introductory bout in MMA against CM Punk.
Floyd Mayweather, who defeated Conor McGregor via TKO in the 10th Round in boxing, has been teasing a potential entry into MMA through a couple of Instagram videos featuring him inside the Octagon.
Naturally, everyone seems to think that he will rematch Conor McGregor since that is obviously the biggest money fight there is today in all of combat sport.
However, Jeff Mayweather feels that Floyd would be wise to take a tune-up fight against CM Punk inside the Octagon first, before eventually facing Conor McGregor.
“We might actually whoop [CM Punk’s] ass first.”
“Then he[Floyd] has a chance because, first of all, he’s way faster than Conor, he’s way more elusive than Conor, and he punches harder than Conor.”
“It’s about no f—king shoulder roll. It’s about Floyd using his legs, being smart. If Floyd gets kicked or elbowed or gets kneed, anything like that, of course, the chances are he’s gonna lose.”
