UFC flyweight contender Tim Elliott underwent surgery about 10-months ago, to repair a torn ACL. But now he has recovered from that surgery is all ready to fight again.
He recently spoke to MMAjunkie, where he revealed that he wants to get back inside the octagon, but if the flyweight division is still in existence.
“I feel like if the UFC called with the right matchup, I could fight right away, and I have a few guys in mind,” Elliott said. “I just don’t know what’s happening with the division. Like, is there going to be a flyweight division or not?
“I would like to get my first fight back, I would like to be a flyweight because I lost a lot of weight recovering from my surgery. I lost 15-20 pounds, and it’s hard for me to put it back on. I would like to have one at ’25 before I move back up to ’35.”
He then also revealed who he wants to fight next.
“The Ultimate Fighter 24,” he said. Elliott was talking about fellow “TUF 24” cast member Kai Kara-France. He wants to fight him at UFC 239 which is taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 9.
