UFC 232 is turning out to be frustrating for both fighters and fans alike. The fight card has been moved to California from Las Vegas on 6 days notice and many of the fighters claim that they found the news online rather than it being told to them by the UFC. It will be a trying time for the fighters trying to figure out arrangements for their friends and family, to managing their fight week training and weight cut.
UFC has decided to help the fighters by using their charter plane to fly out the fighters competing on the card from Las Vegas to Los Angeles on Thursday, according to Ariel Helwani. Some fighters have elected not to wait due to the fact that there would be very less time to adjust if they leave on Thursday.
UFC will fly the fighters competing on Saturday’s card via charter plane from Las Vegas to Los Angeles on Thursday, according to multiple sources. However, I’m told Alexander Gustafsson and a few others have elected to drive down earlier to avoid it affecting their weight cut.UFC has helped with the organizing of all of this. Still much more planning to be done. For example, the Thursday press conference venue isn’t finalized and travel back from either LA or LA to Vegas and then home still needs to be finalized, among many other things.
