Joanna Jedrzejczyk might not have the Strawweight championship around her waist, but she still thinks that she is the queen of the division.
While appearing on The Ariel Helwani show, Joanna noted that she has a legacy bigger than the top fighters in the division.
“You know this. My legacy is bigger than the top 10, so that’s the point. After I lost, they all started to talk that they wanted to fight me, that I’m a bad person, they don’t know me, so how they can say this? The point is I have been in this business for 15 years and I know there are some people who don’t know much about this business. They are fans of martial arts, and they are trying to define my career off my two losses to Rose Namajunas. But I am bigger than that, that’s why I keep my head very high. That’s why I know I am simply the best and last fight and second fight with Rose was about proving to myself that I am the best. Sooner than later I will get my belt back,” she said.
Joanna had gone back to winning ways this last weekend when she defeated Tecia Torres at UFC Calgary. However, the former champion is currently 0-2 against Rose Namajunas.
