The fans that are waiting to see Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov have some reason to be happy thanks to John Kavanagh. During his recent interview with Robin Black, Kavanagh assured that the showdown between McGregor and Nurmagomedov will happen in 2018 itself.
He also noted that he would bet anything on it.
“It’s the obvious fight, as his coach and as a fan. As a fan of MMA, it’s the fight I want to see as well. I would almost bet anything — almost bet anything — that fight happens before the end of the year. I can’t imagine it not happening,” he said.
McGregor has not fought in the UFC since his victory at Lightweight over Eddie Alvarez a couple of years back. He, however, had a crossover boxing showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Khabib Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, was crowned the UFC Lightweight champion recently when he got the better of Al Iaquinta.
