“When I die, I want Jon Jones to lower me into my grave, so, he can let me down more last time”, a fan once said.
The statement might seem a bit harsh, but it just points to the fact as to how much people love the light heavyweight champion and the weight of expectations on his shoulders. Jones’ timeline inside the octagon is pretty much a blueprint for anyone to follow, however his life outside the octagon has been controversial.
That being said, the soft side of Jones has always been on display. It was on showcase one more time when Jones got a request from his super fan who posted his phone number and asked the champion to call him. Surprisingly, Jones agreed. (via Twitter):
