It seems as if the rivalry between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones will never reach the conclusion it deserves. For the better part of the last 5 years the pair have been going back and forth with their verbal jibes at each other. And now as Jon Jones sits on the sidelines awaiting a verdict on his USADA violation case, he still isn’t happy about someone else holding the belt that he never lost.

When the UFC released sound bytes of Daniel Cormier saying that if he is still getting wins at 39 years of age, he should be put in the GOAT conversation, it didn’t sit very well with the man that had put the 1 in Cormier’s 20-1 professional record, Jon Jones. Jones sent out a flurry of tweets opening his mind about what he thinks on Cormier’s GOAT argument even if he defeats Stipe Miocic.
what have you done for me lately? Let’s just be real and stop asking this question https://t.co/Tw3FcpH3bK

If Cormier manages to get his hands raised at the end of his fight at UFC 226, he would become the first person to simultaneously hold the titles in UFC’s heaviest divisions. The elephant in the room however still remains about how one can simply overlook the fact that Cormier could never get past Jones.
