The fight will serve as the headliner for UFC Liverpool and it has already created a good amount of hype. People have started taking sides ahead of the fight and Kamaru Usman is not holding back as well.

The Welterweight star might be preparing to meet Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Chile, but he took out time to reveal his pick for Stephen Thompson vs. Darren Till.

“I think “Wonderboy” beats him up. Honestly believe a healthy “Wonderboy” will beat him up. Darren Till’s tough, I take nothing away from him. He’s got some skills. But I just feel like he has a much further way to go than to start screaming for a title or to start screaming about leaving a legacy or whatever other s–t he says. It’s too early right now. He still has to put in the work before he gets there before you start saying that.” Usman said. (Quotes via MMA Nytt).

Till getting a Conor McGregor treatment

Usman has been vocal about UFC’s treatment of Till for quite some time now and after giving his prediction for the UFC Liverpool main event, Usman went on to reiterate his take on the UFC – Till relationship.

“It baffles me why the UFC is picking and choosing who they want to push and what market they want to break into and that’s the guy they’re going to jump behind. We saw how much they got behind Conor because of Ireland and that was great. Conor was special. Conor was able to back it up and do the things he said he would do. Also with Conor they gave him the right style matchups to get him there. Now I think they’re trying to do the same thing with Darren Till. They’re trying to stylistically to get him there and once you’re a star, you’re a star.” He added.
