UFC 223 might be a thing of the past but the bus attack of Conor McGregor is still making headlines here and there.
A string of fighters was impacted directly and indirectly by the former Lightweight champion’s actions in Brooklyn ahead of UFC 223. This list includes names like Michael Chiesa, Ray Borg, and Rose Namajunas.
Former Strawweight title challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz was another big name which was present on the bus. In a recent interview with MMA Flashback, Karolina opened up about the incident and revealed whether or not she will sue Conor McGregor for the incident.
I have seen worse
Karolina also went on to detail what happened inside the bus and said that her coaches asked her to stay down during the chaotic situation.
“I saw Conor McGregor hitting the windows, then saw Rose Namajuans crying while Pat was protecting her face. Cheisa’s face was blood stained. My coaches told me to hide, but I wanted to see what was going on, but they kept me under the seats. And that’s all, in my opinion Conor bent a little, he probably realized what happened afterward and he wrote an apology letter to me. I have no intention of suing anyone. Growing up in LODZ I saw worse things.” She said. (via MMA Mania)
Interestingly, McGregor had also sent out an apology letter to Strawweight champion Rose Namajunas who was not as receptive as Karolina and apparently had a harsh reply for the Irish star.
As for Karolina, she went on to secure a huge win against Felice Herrig at UFC 223 despite all what happened and is yet to get a new fight booked. she is now on a two-fight winning streak at the moment as she had also secured a win against Jodie Esquibel prior to UFC 223. Holding a professional record of 12-2 Karolina has only suffered defeats against Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha and even has a win over Rose Namajunas on her resume.
