As reported by MMA Fighting, the UFC is eyeing a fight between Kevin Lee and Edson Barboza for April.

Apparently, the UFC plans on booking Lee vs. Barboza as the headliner for its event in Atlantic City, NJ.

Kevin Lee recently came up short in his bid to win the Interim Lightweight Championship against Tony Ferguson.

Apparently, MMA pundits are still high on Lee—who battled Ferguson all while suffering from a staph infection—impressing by out-striking and out-grappling the later early on, before gassing out in the latter half of the fight and falling victim to Ferguson by way of submission.

The UFC is close to finalizing Edson Barboza vs. Kevin Lee as the main event for the April 21 event at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

The MMA India Show will keep fans updated on the status of this fight which could determine the next challenger for the UFC Lightweight Championship.

Conor McGregor is the current Undisputed Lightweight Champion, while Tony Ferguson holds the Interim title.

The winner of Lee vs. Barboza could fight for the belt later this year.
