Former interim lightweight title challenger Kevin ‘The Motown Phenom’ Lee got things back on track at Fight Night 128 with a TKO victory over dangerous veteran Edson Barboza back in April.

Since then Lee wanted to fight at the UFC 229 card in October and had already started a camp without any opponent. However unfortunately he didn’t had any opponent to sign the dotted line. Recently Lee was also linked with a rematch against the man who defeated him on his debut, ‘Raging’ Al Iaquinta. However, after Fight Night 135 results last weekend, Lee has his eyes set on Justin ‘The Highlight’ Gaethje.
“I loved that fight,” Lee said of the UFC Lincoln main event (transcript via MMANytt). “It’s way more appealing to me now too. Justin is a mark and I’m like a lion. Every day I wake up, I just try and look for my next target, I look for my next meal. And right there Justin showed me himself, so I like that. I like a fight, especially like that, because Justin’s a fucking mad man. So he’s gonna bring out the best in me and he’s really gonna let me show off for the rest of these guys that already know the business.”
