Khabib Nurmagomedov versus Conor McGregor might be inching ever closer, but according to Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz – Mcgregor doesn’t deserve the shot.
Conor McGregor’s coach Owen Roddy had yesterday claimed the potential superfight was ‘brewing up nicely’.
“I don’t know, but I think he’s at the forefront,” Roddy said.
“I always say, Conor wants the biggest fights he can possible have so I think at the moment, Khabib seems to be that guy.”
“I’m sure it’s just down to negotiations, but yeah, I think it is building,” Roddy said. “This started similarly with the Mayweather fight; there was talk, there was a bit of back and forth and a bit of drama.
“Once the crowd and the fans get behind it, they ultimately make the fight. It’s brewing up nicely.”
However Ali was quick to shoot down any hype.
Let’s make this clear the guy is 2-2 in his last 4 fights. What do you have to gain but money? BIG DRAMA SHOW Khabib doesn’t think he deserves it https://t.co/NmILtcjrsd
