It is well known by now that undefeated Lightweight phenom Khabib Nurmagomedov and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier both train at American Kickboxing Academy (AKA).
As such, it comes as no surprise that Khabib can be found in the locker room, helping DC get ready for his fight against Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 220.
DC has publicly spoken before (on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour) of his pre-fight ritual, where he psyches himself up by talking to himself and pacing up and down.
But it’s one thing knowing about it and it’s quite another watching such an intense ritual unfold.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently scheduled to fight UFC (Interim?) Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson at UFC 223.
With Undisputed Champion Conor McGregor still on the shelf and in the process of working out a deal with the UFC for his return, there has been much confusion over the UFC 223 main event.
However, it would seem that Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson will indeed fight for the Undisputed UFC Lightweight Championship as Dana White all but confirmed that Conor McGregor will be stripped of the Title owing to inactivity.
Daniel Cormier, on the other hand, made short work of Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 220 and is booked to move up a weight class and fight UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic in a super fight at UFC 226 in July.
Cormier, who lost the LHW Title to divisional kingpin Jon Jones at UFC 214, had it reverted to him when Jones was flagged by USADA for an out of competition use of an anabolic steroid, Turinabol.
The fight verdict was overturned to No Contest and Cormier was reinstated with the belt, a belt he once again defended successfully against Volkan Oezdemir in January.
