Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones is back!
Jones dodged a possible four-year suspension as an arbitrator issued a 15-month suspension to Jones for violation of USADA’s doping policy which makes him eligible to resume his career from October 28.
Obviously, that hasn’t gone well with a lot of people from MMA community including fighters, fans, analysts etc. However, one of them, in particular, took to Twitter to issue staunch criticism of Jones’ return, none other than lightweight champion Khabib ‘The Eagle’ Nurmagomedov. (via Twitter):
Now I understand #usada is n.1 bullshit people.
To much politics.

Nurmagomedov being a training partner of Jones’ arch rival, light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, the news seems to have affected Nurmagomedov even more.
Jones was tested positive for the steroid Turinabol in an in-competition drug test before his rematch against current double champ Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 last year. Jones who defeated Cormier via TKO in the third round, was stripped off the title and Cormier was named as the undisputed champ with immediate effect.
With the clock ticking on UFC 230 on November 3 at the iconic Madison Square Garden which still does not have a main event, the timeline seems perfect for Jones’ much anticipated return.
