Ever since signing with UFC, Renato Moicano has been on an impressive roll having fought some of the top contenders like Jeremy Stephens and Brain Ortega. Although he lost a close competitive fight to Ortega, he was able to get a decision win over knockout artist Jeremy Stephens and most recently a win over Cub Swanson.
Although he is a top contender and seeing that Holloway is out for a while as he was hospitalized during UFC 226, Moicano would probably have to wait for his title shot.
In the meantime, Moicano has respectfully called out the number 1 contender in the lightweight division and legend Jose Aldo.
Só há uma luta que faz sentido enquanto esperamos Max vs. Ortega.
Moicano vs. Aldo para determinar quem lutara pelo título. Você é uma lenda @josealdojunior, mas agora é a MINHA
VEZ!!!!…Estou pronto!!! @danawhite @seanshelby @UFCBrasil @canalCombate @ConanSilveira

“There’s only one fight that makes sense while we wait Max vs. Ortega,” Moicano said in his Tweet to Aldo. “Moicano vs. Aldo to determine who will fight for the title. You’re a legend [Jose Aldo] but it’s my TIME!!!… I’m ready!!!”
Jose Aldo is coming off of an impressive victory over Jeremy Stephens where he punched a hole through a brutal body shot.
