The MMA scene in the UK is thriving at the moment and names like Darren Till and Michael Venom Page has been making headlines for quite some time now. Edwards feels that he is better than his fellow UK fighters.

“I feel I can 100-percent be that guy. I feel I’ve fought better opponents than all the other guys [Darren Till and Michael ‘Venom’ Page] and I 100-percent believe I can be that guy. I could take that on my shoulders, I could be a guy that carries MMA in the U.K. I know I’m that guy that can take on being the next big guy for the U.K,” Edwards noted.

During a recent interview, Edwards noted that he also wanted to bring a UFC event to his own town.

“That’s my plan. It’s to go out there, take this man out and then hopefully I can get a show in my hometown as well. That’s 100-percent my plan and one of my dreams. Go out there, put Cerrone away, call for a top five or top 10 opponent in my hometown in Birmingham, England. That would be a dream come true. Headlining Birmingham. To headline a hometown show, that would be a dream of mine. I want to keep pushing for that Birmingham show in England. That would be a dream to me,” he said. (via MMA Nytt)
