A lot of fans and pundits alike have been vocal in criticising the UFC for letting fighters previously caught for doping to compete in the octagon again. Many fighters have also often stated that the UFC and USADA should be more strict in their approach towards fighters on PED’s. Former UFC and Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold has now come out and stated that fighters like Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones should be suspended for life.
Rockhold was recently in a conversation with MMA Junkie, he stated that the sport has become ‘jokey’ and that the USADA is owned by the UFC. Here’s what he had to say:
This sport is starting to get a little jokey, I’m just sick of watching Brock [Lesnar], watching Jon – when you get down to real business, these guys should be suspended for a long time. People are learning how to cheat the system. USADA is owned by the UFC.
I like fighting clean. I’ve always fought clean, and I want to fight clean people. I want to fight fair. I want a fair playing field. USADA’s got to step their game up and be what they were in the beginning.
