Marlon Vera isn’t having the best of times in finding a fight. Having teased a fight on Instagram just a small time ago, Vera told MMA Junkie that the fight didn’t fall through. The bantamweight, however, hopes that the UFC matchmakers will keep his name in mind in upcoming events. Vera, further added that close to home is good but he is not too picky. He would love to fight in Las Vegas at UFC 229, adding that he had always to fight in Sin City.

Vera is hoping to get off a two fight losing streak, dropping decisions to Douglas Silva de Andrade and John Lineker.

As much as Vera would love to step back in the Octagon his current focus is on his family. His daughter will finally get a surgery to treat a rare condition, Moebius syndrome. “Chito” started a GoFundMe page in March 2016, with the help of which he has raised $19,000 in donations. He thanked everyone who had donated and has hoped that the surgery will do good to her daughter.
