With the sport of Mixed Martial Arts growing and expanding so rapidly, the UFC is constantly trying the expand their envelope all around the world.
That being said, a UFC champion wants to welcome UFC in his beautiful backyard of Hawaii, none other than featherweight king Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway. Holloway made the Hawaiians proud by winning the featherweight title back at UFC 212 in May last year. However he was not the one to put Hawaii on the map. The baton of making Hawaii proud was passed to Holloway by former lightweight and welterweight champion B.J. Penn.
Holloway has been campaigning for UFC Hawaii since UFC 206 in December 2016 when he captured the interim belt defeating former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis. With UFC making their débuts in many countries, states and cities, a card for UFC Hawaii is certainly inevitable. Two Hawaii natives were able to headline two different cards this year namely Yancy Medeiros and veteran Brad Tavares.

Keeping that in mind 2018 has been an eventful year for the UFC. The promotion was successful in making their much anticipated debut in Russia which has been a factory of providing world class fighters. UFC also featured an event for the first time in a country in South America other than Brazil in Chile. UFC will also head out to Argentina this November.
UFC also made their debuts in states like Idaho and cities like Liverpool, Lincoln and St.Louis. UFC will visit Moncton, Canada for the first time next month.
