For a 24 year old, Ray Borg has been through a lot. From being on the move in Arizona and New Mexico and going through a tough divorce of his parents as a kid, to taking a 16 year old younger brother in his home and then having to go through the premature birth of his child, which got worse with his kid being diagnosed with hydrocephalus, only to spend the next 60 days in the hospital. And amongst all this, Conor Mcgreggor’s bus melee which cancelled his fight at UFC 223 didn’t help him either.

However, Borg isn’t angry at Mcgreggor. While speaking to MMA Fighting, Borg said that he had a certain feeling towards people with healthy kids and a apology from Mcgreggor wouldn’t change a lot of things.
As far as his UFC career is concerned, Borg hopes to come back in September and is willing to fight Sergio Pettis. However if that is not possible he is also up for a fight with Wilson Reis or Ben Nguyen. Borg looks back on his fight with Demetrious Johnson as a learning experience. Even after being the no. 4 flyweight in the UFC, he felt that there are a lot of new grounds to explore.
Borg has a feeling that Henry Cejudo will upset Johnson when they face off in their August rematch. He doesn’t say this is a dismissive way, only that when he watches past Johnson fights, he sees differences.
