Former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping would be okay to throw down with arch nemesis and also former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold in what would be his retirement fight.
Speaking in his Believe You Me podcast, Bisping had this to say about the situation.
If that motherf***er[Rockhold] wants to throwdown at 205 then yeah, we can entertain that buddy, I’ve got no problem knocking you out again,” Bisping said. “I exposed Luke Rockhold [and] I knocked him out. David Branch nearly knocked him out, Yoel knocked him out. I quite literally took his soul. So if he wants to do it again, that’s one that quite literally would stoke the fire so to speak.

This, however, comes in direct contrast with Bisping’s reason for turning down the Vitor Belfort fight. Then, the Englishman had professed that he wouldn’t be keen on fighting Vitor because it would bring out the worst in him – something that he didn’t want people to witness in his last fight.
I don’t want to be remembered for being a (expletive), and I feel that Vitor Belfort would bring out that side of my personality” Bisping said. “It’s my last ever fight, so I want to go there and enjoy it. I want to embrace the moment. I want to live in the moment. I want to be respectful toward my opponent and basically thank all the fans of Great Britain for always supporting my career.
“Not lunging and arguing and swearing and going at the guy and acting regrettably because years later, I would look back, and I would regret that.”
Keeping that in mind, it is a little puzzling that Bisping would be down to fight Luke Rockhold as the two have shared an equally tempestuous relationship.
Do you think Luke Rockhold would be a suitable retirement fight for the English legend? Or would you prefer to see Bisping fight a younger, upcoming fighter to give him the proverbial ‘rub’?
